Hello!

My name is Sunidhi and I am a third-year undergraduate at the University of Michigan. I am majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Science, with a minor in History. My long-term goal is to create or utilize technology in order to better understand human behavior, but for now, I am currently seeking a software engineering research position or internship in any field!

Projects & Highlights

RepetitionVR

Using Unreal Engine 5, my team and I created a VR game that aims to combat social isolation and anxiety. It is centered around interacting with NPCs in the scene and solving puzzles in order to progress from level to level. It includes 4 different scenes and was completed over the course of a month. Each scene involves a different puzzle and a different lesson to be learned about socialization.

Recreating the BBB lab - arcade style

Using Unreal Engine 5, my partner (Lisa Dai - check out her portfolio ) and I put a twist on the historic lab in the Bob & Betty Beyster building. This project includes a blocked model of the lab, several objects that are interactable (trash, light switches, firealarms, copier, whiteboard), and a Space Invaders-inspired arcade game that can be launched by clicking on the poster under the "Play" sign. Enjoy this clip of implemented features!

AA-Go!

Using Unity, my partner (Lisa Dai - check out her portfolio ) and I created a pokemon-go inspired game that employs augmented reality and other features for an exciting twist on the popular game. The goal of the game is to reinstate Ann Arbor as the best tree city in the U.S.A. In order to do this, the player, represented by the lovable Ash Ketchum, must plant trees around the city and ward off any meddling squirrels. Through the growth of these trees, the player will receive currency by which they can buy more seeds and acorns to fend off those pesky squirrels. Visit landmarks to unlock seeds and visit the cemetery for a special challenge! This project includes various implemented features such as: object spawning, fun in-game challenges, landmarks, image tracking, and location precision.

Tutorial_AR

Here's the second project I created in augmented reality using Unity. It features several objects that may be spawned using on-screen buttons. These objects are able to move around the room and the number of spawned objects is tracked on the screen. It also features a clickable link to an informational page about vehicles.

Youth Power, Not Just Voice

I created this video in my final year of high school as a social justice fellow with the Youth Civil Rights Academy and the University of Michigan School of Social Work. It explores how though the youth "voice" movement is picking up, youth are often not given real power in decision-making surrounding their education.
